Right now I'm doing the finishing touches on the product, so you will get to see it soon. It just takes some extra time, me going back to Norway for the holidays AND it being Easter break.

A2 - First shooting day

We went to Derek Ashmans house today to do the shoot. He's got a workshop up in the attic containing all his tools for processing and inking. The shoot went good, though he did talk a lot, so I'm a bit affraid when it comes to editing that I'll have a handfull editing it down, but fingers crossed. It's so great of him to take time to do all this. Hopefully now I'll get to do a rough edit over Easter.

B2 - Building a set

We finished our shoot for the university project "Studio" on Tuesday. The project is to use the TV studio and only the TV studio and controlroom to film it. So for this project we're building two sets, a bedroom (above) and a police interview room. We laid in flooring, painted the walls, full furniture (bed, tables, wardrobe, draw etc.)

Today (Wednesday) we repainted and decorated it for the interview room.

We talked to a UK police detective to get info on what would realistically to find in an real interview room. Through Star Now we found two actors to play the main roles.

We have had so much fun and I have personally learned loads working as a Producer for this film.

I've finished the Crime of Passion shooting schedule now, so all good to go! After Laura, Johan and me did the shot list, I started breaking it down on Genie (scheduling software). I really like that, simple to use, shame it's not being updated/developed any more...

Italy trip

I went to Italy to work for Discover the World. My job is to create a promo video, 10 to 15 min, about their school trip program. Other film students were picked to go to Iceland and Jordan. So over the next month I'll be working hard with this project, amongst other work.

There I followed a lovely bunch from Wirral Grammel School - A Business & Enterprise School for Boys. VERY polite boys, all Sir and Miss. I got to see Pompeii, the island Capri, Napoli, Sorrento and much more. It was really amazing to see Pompeii and the "live-frozen-people". It really shows the destructive power of Mother nature. I can now also say I've been IN an volcano. We wet to a dormant volcano and walked around on the top.

There you see the volcano Vesuvius. We were supposed to go up there, but there were too much snow.

Now I'm working my way through over 7 hours of footage which has to be edited down to 10-13 minutes and finished by 20/03/12. So loads to do.

We were looking for three males, an inspector, a love and a husband. We've gotten several promising applications, some of which already have acted in other SMU productions, which is good. Next thing now is for me to meet them and discus all the details.

SSE iLoveMondays video + Uni projects

This is the video I did on Monday for Student Swansea Events. We had the Ministry of Sound UNItrash TOUR ft ARTWORK (Magentic Man) performing on iLoveMondays in Oceana, Swansea's biggest night club. I think this might be one of the best SSE videos I've made so far.

Besides that, we're working really with our studio project, which I'm doing with Johan, Laura, Lauran and Iain. A great gang that knows what hard work is. At the moment we're are putting up the budgets for the different departments. We're building two massive sets in the studio, almost wish the studio was bigger. I can't tell you much about it, cause we've agreed to keep it a secret. BUT I can tell you this; a woman has been found murdered in her own home and we see the police investigating the case, questioning several suspects.



At the moment I got two documentary ideas/projects, but I'm very much leaning towards one. Check out my "hint". I'll keep you posted when I've made some agreements.
